For the fourth year, Austin Fashion Week is proud to show the work of local Austin talent in the MASH UP TEAM category! Mash Up Teams are comprised of at least a Photographer, Hair Stylist, Makeup Artist, Apparel Designer and Model. Some teams also have a Jewelry Designer, Accessories Designer and Wardrobe Stylist. Each team created a concept for one stunning image.
Voting has now closed for the 2013 Mash Up Competition.
The Critic’s Choice panel voted individually and blindly by just looking at the images before they were posted publicly. Panelists were not aware of any team members and which teams they represented. The Critic’s Choice panel included the following people:
- Madeline Hollern, Senior Editor and Style Editor at Austin Monthly
- Cristina Facundo, Wardrobe Stylist
- David Heisler, Photographer
- Lance Avery Morgan, Editor in Chief, The Society Diaries
- Joanna Wilkinson, Editor, Keep Austin Stylish

The People’s Choice award is based on total number of votes received by the general public. Users could vote for as many teams as they wished but never more than once for the same team from the same device. More than 18,000 votes were cast.

The winners of both awards will be announced at the Austin Fashion Awards on May 11 at Austin Music Hall, where you can also see these images come to life on the runway!
