Reaching the height of fashion, Austin Fashion Week concludes with the Austin Fashion Awards Presented by CW Austin at Austin Music Hall on Saturday, August 18. Rising Stars, Trailblazers, and Mash Up Teams will be recognized with the coveted Golden Boot Award. Between awards presentations, check out runway shows from Margarita Saplala, Kendra Scott, Ross Bennett and Jessica Ciarla. The ever-popular Mash Up Teams comprised of a local apparel designer, accessories designer, photographer, hairstylist, makeup artist, and model will also move to the Austin Fashion Awards catwalk.
Hosted by Sandy McIlree of the JB & Sandy show on Mix 94.7, the show will not only feature these runway collections with hair and makeup from award-winning Jackson Ruiz Salon, but also live music by pop violinist Josh Vietti.
Mixing prints in modern and relaxed shapes, New York based designer Margarita Saplala will be showing her Autumn/Winter 2012 collection featuring prints drawn from elements of flowers and plants that translate into abstract patterns. Austin-based jewelry designer Kendra Scott known for her vibrant, colorful pieces will be showing bold, couture jewelry created specifically for the Austin Fashion Awards runway show. Inspired by modern and futuristic materials, cutouts, origami and Asian prints, Jessica Ciarla will be showing her first ready to wear line featuring beautiful colors including hand painted jewel tone prints on silver lame. Ross Bennett, fresh off Fashion Star fame, will send a new collection of separates “The Harvest- the New Beginnings” down the runway. Full of color and prints along with classic tones, the collection was inspired by British tailoring along with the American Revolutionary spirit found in New York and Chicago in the 1930s to 1950s.

Austin Fashion Awards tickets are included in VIP Packages & Badges. Individual tickets are available for $60 / $40. Student tickets may be purchased at the door the day of the event based on availability for $20 (cash only). MUST SHOW A VALID STUDENT ID.
NOTE: Awards tickets are seated based on levels. VIP seats are closest to the stage, followed by Badges. Finally, general admission tickets will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis behind Badge-holders.
