Beginning in 2012, Austin Fashion Week began awarding 5 Trailblazers and 5 Rising Stars as iconic members of the local Austin fashion community. Each individual enters an elite group of recognized industry leaders and becomes one of the voting members to induct future honorees.
A TRAILBLAZER is defined as a person in the local fashion community that has paved the way for the current industry. With foresight, innovation and determination, he or she envisioned Austin as a fashion hub and helped create that reality. He/she has provided vast contributions over the course of his or her career.
