Beginning in 2012, Austin Fashion Week began awarding 5 Trailblazers and 5 Rising Stars as iconic members of the local Austin fashion community. Each individual enters an elite group of recognized industry leaders and becomes one of the voting members to induct future honorees.
RISING STARS are those who, while early in their career, exemplify similar characteristics as TRAILBLAZERS but who would be considered break through or emerging talent. The community views them as demonstrating distinct early achievements. They will help propel the local industry forward.
