AUSTIN FASHION WEEK was created in 2009 by Launch787, the event producers behind Modern Home Tours LLC, Austin Outdoor Living Tour, Central Texas Restaurant Week and Secret Circus.

Austin Fashion Week has been critically acclaimed across the board by media outlets like Lucky Magazine, Fashionista.com, the Austin American Statesman and more.

In 2011, over 400 retailers, salons, designers, models, photographers, hair stylists and makeup artists officially participated in Austin Fashion Week. Over 22,000 fashion-minded individuals attended events throughout the week.

The week exploded with the Austin Fashion Week Kickoff at Cowboy Harley-Davidson where 1500 attendees, dressed to kill, checked out the latest collections by Betsey Johnson and MotorClothes by Harley-Davidson, along with 20 of Austin’s most talented mash-up teams.

Along with over 85 events at participating retail and salon locations Austin Fashion Week celebrated debut collections from local and international designers at the historic Driskill Hotel. With over 600 attendees each night, lines like Celestino Couture (New York), Colunga (London), James Tudor (London), Jamie McCarty (New York), Boudoir Queen (Austin) and more were showcased.

The coup de grace was the elegant yet edgy Austin Fashion Awards at the renowned ACL Live at the Moody Theater, where 2,000 guests were treated to a first-class awards show and stunning world debut collections from Rory Beca, Wren, Linda Asaf, 81 Poppies and Gail Chovan.
